German side FC Koln will wants at least £20m for The Reds transfer target, Jonas Hector.
Liverpool have been strongly linked with the defender for the last few months, however the TalkSport now suggest that Jurgen Klopp’s side have been told the price.
It was believed a £12million offer had been approved by Koln with the German side already ready for Hector’s exit by landing Filip Mladenovic in January.
But, Koln sporting director Jorg Schmadtke has rejected the reports, however, suggested he would accept double the offer £24m.
“There’s nothing in it. There is no question of an offer from Liverpool,” he told German newspaper Express.
“If someone comes up with second [the offer], then I might answer the phone. But I believe that Jonas plays in the new season with us.”
The German defender’s deal with Koln ends on June 2018 and had a great season playing 34 games in all tournaments last season.
However, Liverpool continue to be linked with the defender, with stories suggesting a £20m offer could be on the table.
